Everpure H-300 EV927072 Compatible Replacement Water Filter Cartridge by KleenWater. Made in the USA.
Our KWE-5M-KDF filter employs premium grade AquaBond activated carbon to improve taste and remove chlorine, chemicals and odor contaminants. These contaminants are removed through the chemical phenomenon of adsorption and a catalytic reduction reaction. The carbon block is twice wrapped with polypropylene filtration sheathing. The outer wrap is rated for 5 micron dirt sediment removal followed by a second layer with a 1 micron filtration rating. This cartridge is enhanced with KDF media to inhibit scale build-up that can damage equipment. KDF media also removes heavy metals, including lead, via the process of oxidation / reduction. The NSF certified KDF media is a high purity copper-zinc filtration media that performs lead filtration and microbial control. The sanitary cartridge design allows for quick and easy replacement.
Our KleenWater brand H300 alternative filter cartridges are manufactured for residential use and the commercial food service industry as a low cost, high quality alternative to the original equipment manufacturer.

Now that I've installed the cartridge, I'm very happy with it. But I had a real problem with customer service after receiving the unit. Until I left a review I didn't get a call. When I did, I had some empathy; The company is a start up and is run by a one-man band doing all the fielding of calls and whatever he's doing during the day while trying to get his business going. It was a while before I heard from him, but he was very reasonable on the phone - I was leaving the next day for a two week vacation out of the country so I wasn't able to check out the unit(s) as I had wanted to prior to hearing. It would be tremendously useful for the client and the business as well to let people know that it might be a while before hearing back. It would be even more useful to figure out how to get a human response as a new client with questions becomes quite concerned while waiting to hear back and may become a former client before hearing back..
Today (about two and half weeks after our conversation), I installed the replacement cartridge and all seems well. It went in easily and resolved it's oxygen problem much more quickly than the factory unit does. The water seems fine - the cartridge doesn't leak. One of my concerns was that it is much smaller than the manufacturer unit it was replacing and I didn't want to install it if it wasn't correct; it is, although my understanding that this is a newer model as John seemed suprised when I mentioned the size. What I will say, is that if you're going to run a marketing operation on the internet, it would be helpful to your business, particularly new (and therefore future clients and potential disciples) if the communication were quicker. The product is excellent - about a third of the cost of the factory unit, so if it lasts a year it's a valuable trade off, and even if it lasts a half year, it's a savings. It's a much lighter unit, therefore much easier to install without paying someone else to do it.
Great product, fix the interface for clients and I think it's a win/win all around.
