The Kleenwater self-cleaning screen filter is ideal for course non-sticky sediment filtration. This filter is equipped with a 90 micron polyester screen that can be cleaned by simply opening the bottom drain port. The self-cleaning process has been significantly enhanced as the mesh screen is mounted on a stainless steel spring. When the drain valve is opened the sudden and dramatic pressure drop causes the fitler cartridge to drop. Thus not only the exterior of the screen surface is cleaned but also the rapid flow of water from the interior to the exterior of the cartridge facilitates a "backwash" cleaning effect. Competitors do not offer this innovative feature and only rely on a surface cleaning.
This unit comes well equipped with a mounting bracket , spanner wrench and complete discharge kit.
The transparent filter sump allows for visible inspection of sediment load on the cartridge. This filter housing is manufactured in Italy from the highest quality and safest materials. The transparent housing is constructed of polyethylene which is the considered a safe choice by plastic specialists in the food and beverage industry. It is manufactured with a proprietary procedure saving up to 60% of energy in injection molding compared with standard plastics. The filter head, drain nipple and drain funnel is constructed of reinforced polypropylene. The drain ball valve is constructed of nickel plated brass. All components conform to NSF/ANSI 42 and 61 for material safety.
